On the Journey Retreats   Women are often wondering what else they can offer their parish in addition to the 8-week journal session. MOMS National is happy to announce a new product: On the Journey retreats. This is a retreat series you can offer all the women in your parish every fall and every spring whether you have an active MOMS ministry in your parish or not.   What is this series? Three hour retreats which are structured similiarly to the MOMS 8-week session on topics that naturally flow out of that experience. Topics will still be independent enough so that women who have never participated in an 8-week session would not feel "lost."    Who facilitates? The retreat is formatted for three peer facilitators. A local retreat director could be invited to faciltiate the retreat.    Who is the series for? On the Journey retreats are designed for all women,whether they are mothers or not. We encourage you to open the retreats to all in your area. They will offer a taste of MOMS to those who are new to the experience.   What are the retreats about? We expect to have a new retreat available every fall and every spring. The following are the two we have published up to this date.   "Choice-Making" This three hour retreat will help women slow down and be more reflective about their daily choice-making. Discuss healthy choice-making as a four point process. Learn how healthy friends with similiar values can help us make good choices. Introduce the idea of prayer, discernment, and spiritual direction as tools in wise choice-making.      "Emptying Your Cup: Finding Peace Through Letting Go"   Learn how healthy friends with similar values can help us make good choices, and find out how prayer, discernment, and spiritual diretion are tools in wise choice-making. This three hour retreat will provide you with sacred time and space for quiet reflection, prayer rituals and discussion on what we need to let go of in our lives so we have room to "fill our cup" with God's unconditional love. You will receive an evening of spiritual renewal with wonderful Christ-centered women, you own Personal Journal and some great spiritual reading.   "In God's Hands"  will be available in the fall.   How do I order the materials?
